In the early 1970s, Kolkata and the state of Bengal in India witnessed the uprising of a violent Marxist-Leninist movement which was quelled in the mid 1970s. In the aftermath of that violent and unstable period, the film explores the fate of an individual - how his life changes and gets intertwined with others and how he comes to term with his own existential integrity.
